Other medical professionals who trained in the EU/EEA area

There are several professional qualifications whose training and requirements have not been harmonised at the EU level. Valvira cannot automatically grant the right to practice a profession to the holder of such a professional qualification obtained outside Finland, in another EU or EEA Member State. If substantial differences are found between the applicant’s training and the comparable Finnish training, the applicant may be given the opportunity to undertake compensation measures:
