EU citizens trained outside EU

If your country of citizenship is a EU member but you were trained outside the EU, your education will be evaluated separately. Valvira will send your application, diploma and other documents to a Finnish institution training LPNs. The institution will compare your education to a Finnish LPN education and may order further studies.

Language skills

All LPNs working Finland must have good enough skills in one (1) of Finland’s two (2) official languages. Most Finns speak Finnish as their mother tongue and about 5% speak Swedish. You are responsible for finding language courses and such.
