Decision fees

 

• Decision on your permission to work and to use the occupational title of a licensed practical nurse will be given in Finnish or Swedish
• You are required to pay for all decisions, even for a negative decision
• Rates listed below are valid until the end of December 2013.

Processing time

 

• Processing time is a maximum of four months for applicants who have completed their education in an EU/EEA country
• Processing time is set by a EU directive and processing begins when all the documents arrive at Valvira
• Note: Delay can be caused if we need to request missing documents from you or if a Finnish institute of education needs to evaluate your education and prepare extra studies
• Processing may take longer for applicants who were trained outside the EU/EEA

Delivery

If you are living in Finland, the decision will be mailed collect on delivery (COD). That means you need to pay the decision fee in full to the mail carrier when you receive the decision. The Finland Postal Service will then deliver the payment to Valvira.

If you are living outside Finland, you are required to present a receipt of payment to Valvira before we can send you the decision. Valvira will e-mail you exact details on payment and delivery in advance. If you wish to pay for the decision in a currency other than the euro, you will be responsible for currency exchange and funds transfer costs.
